Soft Pastel Drawing
Soft Pastel is a chalk-like media that produces pure vibrant colour
that will last for years if protected from direct sunlight and framed
properly with acid-free materials, under glass.
I draw with the best quality soft pastel on high grade,
acid-free pastel paper and velour board. I strongly recommend the
use of acid-free materials when framing your pastel portrait.
Oils and Acrylics
I use the finest quality oil paints to build depth enhancing layers
on stretched cotton, museum grade canvas. There is rich warmth,
which emanates from the portrait when created in oil.
As with all original artwork, a portrait in oil should be
protected from direct sunlight and extremes in temperatures should be avoided.
Charcoal and Graphite
The pressed charcoal and graphite I use in my artwork is of the finest quality.
A sof-coloured, high grade acid free drawing board is used to help enhance
the subtle gray-black hues of the animal in the portrait.
All portraits are protected with a spray fixative when complete.
